Published

on

In a somber reflection on the past year, May Yul Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, expressed deep sorrow over the impact of 2023, stating that it had taken away a beloved family member, leaving her in a devastating state of confusion and misery.

NewsNow had reported the unfortunate passing of 16-year-old Kambiichukwu, May and Yul Edochie’s first son, who tragically collapsed and passed away while playing football at school.

Sharing a heartfelt video on her Instagram account, May conveyed the grief and devastation brought about by the year, describing it as a period that had stolen her “flesh and blood,” leaving her in a state of profound anguish and confusion.

She expressed, “Dear 2023, you carried unknown burdens from the very first day of January. You tested me in the harshest ways… I faced numerous adversities and misfortunes, and worst of all, you took away my own flesh and blood, leaving me in a devastating, miserable, and bewildered state that I could never have fathomed.

“I lost all hope and almost gave up. I was haunted by countless questions, but I kept hearing a voice echoing, ‘Who am I to question God?’

“I fought valiantly and relied on God’s words, which command us to praise Him in every situation, no matter how challenging. I am truly grateful for all the kind-hearted people I encountered (my family, friends, strangers-turned-friends, and my online community).

“I cannot possibly name them all because the list is endless, but I want all of you to know that I will forever be grateful for the incredible love and support shown to me and my family during our most trying times.

“I am thankful to the Almighty for being the guiding force in my life. In other words, I am relieved that man is not God.

“2023, with all my being, I bid you farewell as I embrace the new year, 2024, singing my song with a heart full of gratitude, forgiveness, and devotion to God.

“I pray that God, in His boundless mercy and goodness, will bless us all and protect us with His constant love. May afflictions never enter our homes in Jesus’ name. I wish you all a joyful and prosperous new year! ❤
