The WAAW Foundation is proud to announce its 2023 Undergraduate Scholarships, aimed at providing essential support to female college students across Africa who are pursuing their dreams in STEM-related fields.

This scholarship program is designed to empower young women to achieve their academic goals while fostering a spirit of community engagement and promoting the involvement of women in STEM through the STEM Outreach Chapter at their respective universities.

Key Highlights of WAAW Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

Recipients of the WAAW Foundation Scholarship will be awarded a financial grant of $500 for the academic year, or the equivalent in their local currency.

Scholarship awardees will have the opportunity to reapply for renewal in the subsequent academic years, provided they maintain a consistent record of exceptional academic performance.

Eligible Courses for WAAW Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

The WAAW Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships are open to students pursuing the following STEM-related courses:

1. Engineering

2. Mathematics

3. Science and Technology

Requirements for Qualification

To be eligible for the WAAW Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Be female students of African origin, currently residing and studying in Africa.

2. Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.

3. Pursue STEM-related courses in a university or college within Africa.

4. Currently be a first or second-year student or a third-year student for a 5-year course in a university.

5. Demonstrate a genuine financial need.

6. Maintain an excellent academic record.

7. Showcase proven leadership abilities, active volunteering experience, and community service engagement.

8. Be below the age of 32 years.
