UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN (UI) RELEASES UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION CUT OFF MARK FOR THE 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform the general public especially prospective students of the University of Ibadan that the school management has released the Undergradute admission Cut-off marks for admission into various Departments of the University for the 2023/2024 academic session.

SELAR TUITION FUND SCHOLARSHIP FOR FINAL YEAR STUDENTS IN NIGERIA

In a concerted effort to tackle the financial obstacles impeding access to higher education in Nigeria, Selar, a forward-thinking organization, has launched the Tuition Support Project.

Objective: The primary objectives of the scholarship program include:

Selar Tuition Fund Scholarship for Final Year Students in Nigeria

– Supporting 50 Final-Year Students: Selar aims to empower 50 deserving students by providing NGN 100,000 each, ensuring they can successfully complete their undergraduate journey.

– Formal Launch of Selar CSR Arm: This scholarship program serves as a launchpad for Selar’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, showcasing the organization’s commitment to social impact.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the undergraduate Selar Tuition Fund, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Residency in Nigeria: Applicants must be students residing and studying in Nigeria, actively contributing to the local academic landscape

2. Final-Year Status: Eligible candidates should be in their final year of study, enrolled in an accredited tertiary institution, whether public, select private, or a polytechnic.

4. Academic Excellence: A Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 or a cumulative grade of 65% or higher, supported by academic records, is mandatory.

5. Financial Need: Candidates must demonstrate genuine financial or economic need, emphasizing the scholarship’s impact on their educational journey.

For the academic session 2024/25, the Selar Tuition Fund is open to students pursuing any accredited course in a recognized Nigerian university.

NERC ANNUAL ESSAY COMPETITION FOR SS2 STUDENTS IN NIGERIA

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) presents the NERC Annual Essay Competition exclusively for Senior Secondary 2 (SS2) students across Nigeria. This competition aims to engage students in critical thinking and discourse on the topic of consumer protection within the electricity sector. Participants are required to submit essays within the specified word limit, addressing the theme of “How does the New Customer Protection Regulation (CPR 2023) Protect the Rights & Obligations of Electricity Customers?”

Eligibility:

NERC Annual Essay Competition for SS2 Students in Nigeria

– The competition is open to SS2 students in Nigeria.

– Essays must be between 450 to 500 words in length.

AKISAN 2024 UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION – APPLY

AKISAN USA, INC is pleased to announce its scholarship program for Akwa Ibomites currently pursuing higher education in Nigeria. This scholarship aims to support students enrolled in various institutions, including Colleges of Education, Polytechnics, Maritime Academy, and Universities. 

Eligibility Criteria:

AKISAN 2024 undergraduate scholarship application

– Academic Performance: Applicants must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) as follows:

  – GPA 3.5 and Above: Award amount of N100,000

GPA 3.0 – 3.49: Award amount of N75,000

  – GPA 2.5 – 2.99: Award amount of N50,000
