OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITALS COMPLEX ANNOUNCE SALES OF ADMISSION INTO SCHOOL OF COMMUNITY HEALTH FOR 2023/2024 SESSION

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the School of Community Health for 2023/2024 academic session at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The training programmes which lasts for two Calender years and on Calendar year respectively will commence in September, 2023, leading to the award of Higher Diploma in Community Health.

OAUTHC admission into School of Community Health, 2023/2024

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

(A) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

 

 

 

West African School Certificate/GCE “0” level. Or Senior Secondary School Certificate (NECO) with five credits passes at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

 

1. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR TWO (2) CALENDAR YEARS PROGRAMME

In addition to qualification in (a) above, candidates must possess any of the following Professional Qualification and experience for eligibility to apply.

  1. Diploma in Community Health with not less than two years post qualification experience.
  2. Community Health Extension Worker Certificate with 5 years’ experience.
  3. Applicant must be registered with Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possess current practicing license.

 

2. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ONE (1) CALENDAR YEAR PROGRAMME

In addition to qualification in (a) above, candidates must possess any of the following Professional Qualification and experience for eligibility to apply.

 

  1. Must have qualified as a Community Health Extension Workers.
  2. Possess First Degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, Public Health or HND in Community Health.
  3. Must possess current Practicing License.

 

(B) WRITTEN TEST AND ORAL INTERVIEW

Selection for admission will be based on candidates’ performance at a Competitive Written test and Oral interview to be conducted on Monday, 17th and Tuesday, 18th July, 2023 respectively.

CANDIDATES ARE TO BRING THEIR ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES AND PRACTISING LICENSES TO THE EXAMINATION CENTRE.

(C) METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application forms are obtainable from the School of Community Health, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife at a cost of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only, after payment into OAUTHC’S TSA Recurrent Account via REMITA PLATFORM through any Commercial bank of your choice and indicate the purpose of payment as “Admission Form into CHO Training Programme”.

Thereafter, the evidence of payment should be brought to the school to collect admission form

 

(D) CLOSING DATE

Completed application forms duly endorsed by sponsors, together with photocopies of relevant credentials should be forwarded to the School of Community Health, Obafemi Awolowo University Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife not later than Friday, 7th July, 2023.
