ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND DURATION:
4-YEAR DEGREE SANDWICH PROGRAMME
University of Nigeria offers a 4-Year Sandwich Degree Programme for holders of NCE and National Diploma.
Candidates seeking for admission into the 4-year degree programme must possess:
- a minimum of Merit in NCE in the relevant area from a recognized higher institution in Nigeria, in addition to a minimum of five (5) credit level passes at the O’ level, including Mathematics and English Language; or its equivalent at not more than two sittings; or
- a minimum of merit in National Diploma in a recognized higher institution, in addition to the above-mentioned O’ level requirements in (1) above.
- 5-YEAR DEGREE SANDWICH PROGRAMME
The University also offers a 5-Year Sandwich Degree Progrmame for Holders of WASCE/GCE/NECO, NABTEB; Teachers Grade II Certificate, NCE and National Diploma.
Candidates seeking for admission into the 5-year degree programme must possess the following:
Pass in NCE, and a minimum of five (5) credit level passes in O’ Level or its equivalent at not more than two sittings; or
Five (5) credit level passes at the SSCE O’ Level at not more than two (2) sittings which must include Mathematics and English or both; as required by the respective programmes, or its equivalent.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
All candidates who wish to apply for the Programmes listed above should do so through JAMB (State Office) and make the University of Nigeria, Nsukka their first choice institution. This is to enable JAMB capture details of the candidates, assign them registration numbers and make them available in JAMB CAPSfor the University to be able to download their lists.
After the JAMB registration, candidate returns to the University of Nigeria portal/website, www.unn.edu.ng and generates the “Sandwich Registration Invoice” and proceeds to any Commercial Bank and pays the processing fee of N5,000.00 (five thousand naira only) for the 4-year programme and N10,000.00 (ten thousand naira only) for the 5-year programme, respectively. The processing fee is payable to the University’s Account via the Remita platform.
After the payment, candidate returns to the University of Nigeria portal and click on Sandwich Registration and complete the Verification Form on-line; and thereafter prints out the completed Registration Form and submits it with academic credentials to the Sandwich and Evening Programmes Unit Office of the Registrar’s Department.
Please note that candidates that apply for the 5-Year Degree Programme will be required to write an aptitude test in the University.

1ST NIGERIAN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS CONFERENCE ON UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS) ESSAY COMPETITION
Competition Overview:

PENTAGON PARTNERS NATIONAL ESSAY COMPETITION FOR UNDERGRADUATE LAW STUDENTS
Competition Overview:

SYSTEMSPECS CHILDREN’S DAY ESSAY COMPETITION (CDEC), 2024
Purpose:
Inaugurated in 2020, the CDEC is part of SystemSpecs’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to promoting capacity development in the Nigerian ICT industry. By encouraging young Nigerians to tackle everyday issues, the competition contributes to intellectual growth and societal progress.
Topic:
The theme for the 2024 competition is “Protecting the Nigerian Child from the Dangers of Online Technology.” Participants are tasked with exploring strategies to safeguard children in an increasingly digital world.
Eligibility:
– Open to primary and secondary school students in Nigeria aged 9 to 16.
– Junior category (ages 9 to 12) essays must not exceed 1,000 words.
– Senior category (ages 13 to 16) essays must not exceed 1,500 words.
Prizes:
– Winners will receive generous rewards, including a high-capacity laptop, premium headphones, a portable laptop stand, a smart wristwatch, and one year of internet data, among other items.
– Consolation prizes will be awarded to other participants.
