UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA ANNOUNCES SALES OF ADMISSION INTO COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCE FOR THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the College of Health Sciences, University of Abuja, for the 2022/2023 Academic Session. The College runs the following programmes:

PROGRAMMES

UNIABUJA admission into College of Health Sciences, 2022/2023

The programmes are as follows

1. MBBS-PhD

  • Anatomical Sciences
  • Human Physiology
  • Medical Biochemistry
  • Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

2. PhD:

A PhD from Fellowship in all clinical departments/specialisations including Community Medicine (Public Health), Internal Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics and Traumatology Otorynolaryngology Radiology Ophthalmology. Obstetrics & Gynaecology Paediatrics, Chemical Pathology & Immunology, Haematology & Blood Transfusion, Medical Microbiology & Parasitology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine and Anaesthesia

B. PhD from MSc

Public Health, Internal Medicine Anatomical Sciences Medical Biochemistry, Human Physiology Pharmacology and Therapeutics

3. MSc

Forensic Science, Clinical Research, Diabetic Education, Anatomical Sciences, Human Physiology, Medical Biochemistry,& Pharmacology and Therapeutics

4. PGD:

Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants seeking admission to the programmes must fulfil the following entry requirements

1. MBBS-PhD

i. Five (5) credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English language & Mathematics CO level-WASC/NECO/GCE) at not more than two sittings MBBS degree

ii. Candidates are expected to have good scores at O’ level-WASC/NECO/GCE or their equivalent pass entry qualification examination, and have a minimum weighted average of 65% at the 1st professional (2nd MB) examinations iv. BSc. in relevant subject is an advantage.

2. PhD from Fellowship

Five (5) credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English language & Mathematics (O’Level-WASC NECO/GCE) at not more than two sittings i Fellowship of either Colleges (NPMCN or WACP/WACS)

3. PhD from MSc

i. Five (5) credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English language & Mathematics (O’Level-WASC/NECO/GCE) at not more than two sittings

ii. Have an overall grade of “B” (60% and above in relevant MSc degree)

4. MSc

i. Five (5) credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English language & Mathematics (O’Level-WASC/NECO/GCE) at not more than two sittings

1. MBBS-PhD: Six (6) semesters (three sessions post MBBS degree
