Please keep in mind that the 120 cut-off score declared by JAMB was rejected by a large number of Polytechnics. Only a few people consented to utilize it, and the schools that agreed are listed above. We took the effort to compile a list of Polytechnics that accept 100 cut off mark or a cut off mark less than 120.
MODIFY YOUR POLYTECHNIC TO YOUR FIRST PREFERENCE
You’ve probably heard that some candidates are switching their polytechnic to their first preference. One may ask, Polytechnic as a first option?
Yes!
And if you weren’t already aware, you are now. Allow me to elaborate.
In the UTME, you have four options, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. Some applicants feel that the first option must be University, the second choice must be Poly, and so on.
NO!
You are free to choose your school in any way you see fit. To put it another way. polytechnic might be your first choice, followed by university. In fact, if you like, you may choose a polytechnic as the four options if that is what you desire. You don’t have to choose a University as first choice because that is what most people around you are doing.
Now, if you have a score of less than 120 but are unable to locate universities that accept it for your preferred degree, try moving to the Polytechnic you had picked as second or third – by bringing it to the first. If your score was between 120 and 179, this is a good option. Such polytechnics prioritize those who have chosen them above others. The same is true for educational institutions.
Keep in mind that these information provided to you here, is to enable you make a better choice especially as regards to getting into the desired polytechnic of your choice. Similarly, below are guidelines for obtaining admission easily in Nigeria.
At the end of this article, readers should be able to identify the Polytechnics that would be willing to accept them with their present Jamb score, they should also be able to make better decisions as to their potential course of study and make better choices during their school application process.
Note: 2023 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board policy meeting is scheduled to hold on 24th of this month, June, 2023. In the meeting, JAMB will disclose benchmark cut off mark for 2023/2024 admission exercise. Stay glue to our website, we will surely update you after the meeting.
