LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY (LASU) REOPEN JUPEB APPLICATION PORTAL FOR THE 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION
Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Lagos State University School of Basic and Advanced Studies [JUPEB Programme] which commenced in July 2023.
The Programme shall run for one Academic Session beginning from September 2023 to August 2024. It is an intensive programme to prepare exceptionally brilliant candidates for admission into the 200 level degree programme offered by JUPEB AFFILIATED UNIVERSITIES.
The Programme is located in the Lagos State University School of Basic and Advanced Studies Campus, ASCON Road, Topo, Badagry.

Details on admission requirements, available courses and application fee are as outlined below:
1.0 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(a) Five (5) Ordinary Level Credits in relevant subjects, including English Language.
For candidates who intend to study courses in Medicine/Dentistry/Nursing/Pharmacology, Agricultural Science, Science, Education, Social Sciences, Management Sciences and Engineering, Credits Pass in Mathematics is compulsory.
(b) Students who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.
(c) Successful candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of Thirty Thousand Naira (₦30,000.00), only.

2.0 CRITERIA FOR TRANSITING TO 200 LEVEL
The course allocated will be determined by the level of performance.
Students will sit for JUPEB Examination at the end of course and will be able to transit to 200 Level into any of the JUPEB Affiliated Universities.
(a) Successful candidates that will be enrolled in the degree programmes at the 200 level must purchase the Direct Entry JAMB Form.
(b) Students who failed may be allowed to repeat the programme, however they will have to pay all necessary fees.
(c) On admission, if any student voluntarily withdraws from the Programme, request for refund of school fee will NOT be entertained.
3.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION

4.0 CLOSING DATE
The closing date for the Application Form is Friday, 15th September 2023.
5.0 DATE FOR THE QUALIFYING EXAMINATION
The Qualifying Examination for admission into the Programme holds on Saturday, 16th September 2023; 11:00a.m at the LASUSBAS Location, Topo Road, Badagry, Lagos.
8.0 COMMENCEMENT OF LECTURE
Lectures Start Immediately.

SYSTEMSPECS CHILDREN’S DAY ESSAY COMPETITION (CDEC), 2024
Purpose:
Inaugurated in 2020, the CDEC is part of SystemSpecs’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to promoting capacity development in the Nigerian ICT industry. By encouraging young Nigerians to tackle everyday issues, the competition contributes to intellectual growth and societal progress.
Topic:
The theme for the 2024 competition is “Protecting the Nigerian Child from the Dangers of Online Technology.” Participants are tasked with exploring strategies to safeguard children in an increasingly digital world.
Eligibility:
– Open to primary and secondary school students in Nigeria aged 9 to 16.
– Junior category (ages 9 to 12) essays must not exceed 1,000 words.
– Senior category (ages 13 to 16) essays must not exceed 1,500 words.
Prizes:
