LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES DATE FOR COMMENCEMENT OF 2023/2024 INDIGENE VERIFICATION EXERCISE

*2023/2024 INDIGENESHIP VERIFICATION EXERCISE FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE INDIGENES OF LAGOS STATE*

I. All candidates of Lagos State Origin who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 are hereby informed that the registration for Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2023/ 2024 Admission Exercise will commence on Thursday, 20th July and close on Friday, 18th August, 2023.

II. The Verification Interview will start on Monday, 24th July, 2023.

Please, NOTE that the Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee or serve as proof of admission into the Lagos State University.

III. Opening of Portal for Online Registration: Thursday, 20th July, 2023

IV. Screening Exercise

First Phase Monday, 24th July, 2023 – Thursday, 27th July, 2023
Second Phase Monday, 31st July, 2023 – Thursday, 3rd August, 2023
Third Phase Monday, 7th August, 2023 – Thursday, 10th August, 2023
Mop-up Monday, 14th, August, 2023 – Thursday, 17th August, 2023

GENERAL INFORMATION

i. Please NOTE that ONLY Candidates who are of Lagos State Origin are eligible for screening. Candidates in this category are expected to be CLEARED by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) BEFORE being considered for admission;

ii. The interview will hold at the following venues:

Ikeja Division: First Floor, L & H Building, Faculty of Arts
Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education 
Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law 
Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building 
Epe Division: School of Transport
iii. Old applicants for 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 Academic Sessions that have not been offered admission will only Revalidate their indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at www.lasu.edu.ng with payment; and

iv. All Direct Entry applicants who are of Lagos State Origin are to participate in this Indigeneship Verification Exercise before they can be considered for admission.
