KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC RELEASES 2023/2024 HND ADMISSION FORM

Application forms for admission into the Kogi State Polytechnic’s regular Programmes for the 2023/2024 Academic Session are now on sale. The Polytechnic offers the following courses:-

1. SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES

KSP newly approved HND courses by NBTE for 2023/2024 admission

Higher National Diploma in:

a. Science Laboratory Technology with options in the following

i. Microbiology

2. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

Higher National Diploma in:

a. Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology

i. Power/Machines Option

ii. Electronics and Telecommunications Option

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES

Higher National Diploma in:

a. Science Laboratory Technology with options in the following

i. Microbiology

a. Higher National Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology (Two Years) – Microbiology Option

Candidates must possess National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology and must have a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics are compulsory at credit level. A credit in any other Science Subject and Social Science subject is also required, with one (1) year compulsory Industrial Training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.

2. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

a. Higher National Diploma Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology

With options in the following:

i. Power/Machines

ii. Electronics and Telecommunications

Candidates for Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology with option 2.a(i), 2.a(ii)) must possess National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology and must have a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA) of 2.50 and five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) at not more than two sittings. English Language, Mathematics and Physics and any two subjects from the following: Chemistry, Metalwork, Technical-Drawing, Basic Electronics, and Geography. Such candidate must have one (1) year compulsory Industrial training or a pass in ND result with two (2) years compulsory Industrial Training. ND Transcript is required for admission into all HND programmes, candidates must process and submit their academic transcripts.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application form can be accessed through the school portal at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng Qualified candidates are advised to generate two different RRR numbers for the Admission form and the screening fee through the school portal, and proceed to make payment as follows:

Admission Form Fee: N10,000.00​​Screening fee: N5,000.00 ​​Total = N15,000.00

Note:

i. All applicants must process and submit their Academic transcript not later than four (4) weeks from the date of this advertisement.

ii. Submission of hard copy of credentials at the Polytechnic Admission office must be done on or before the closing date of the form.

iii. The closing date for the submission of completed forms is six weeks (18th August 2023) from the date of this advertisement. Candidates should note that there will be no extension of the date of sale of application forms.

All HND Applicant who only sign up without payment shall not be consider for admission.
