Guinea secured a spot in the last 8 with a late 90+5 Mohamed Bayo header against Equatorial Guinea in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast on Sunday.

Despite defying the odds to top Group A, Equatorial Guinea has been knocked out by Guinea, who qualified as one of the best third-place teams in Group C, behind Senegal and Cameroon.

The match, held at Ebimpe’s Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium, ended 1-0 in favor of Guinea.
