FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, LOKOJA ISSUE AN IMPORTANT NOTICE TO 2023/2024 UTME/DE CANDIDATES

This is to inform all UTME & DE intending students that the University has initiated the uploading of successfully admitted candidates. To facilitate a seamless admission and registration process, you are kindly advised to carefully review and adhere to the administrative instructions provided below:

PART A: Admission processing

Admission processing will be categorized as follows:

1. Candidates admitted into their chosen programmes must accept or reject the admission offered.

2. Candidates transferred to other programmes should first accept or reject the transfer offered by the institution. If a candidate accepts the transfer, they should subsequently accept the admission offered in the new programme.

*Please note the following:

i. Admission uploads will occur in batches; therefore, regularly check your JAMB e-facility for admission status updates.

ii. Respond to any admission or transfer offer within 48 hours; failure to do so will result in forfeiture of admission.

iii. Ensure your O’level result(s) is uploaded on your JAMB e-facility to avoid automatic disqualification.

iv. Utilize JAMB-accredited CBT Centers or JAMB Office for O’level result uploads and admission acceptance processes. Carrying out such processes on your mobile device, laptop or at a cybercafe may not yield the desired result.

PART B: GUIDELINES FOR THE 2023/2024 FRESH STUDENTS REGISTRATION (UTME & DE)

We are pleased to announce that the University portal will be open on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, for the commencement of the 2023/2024 Online Registration Exercise. To be eligible for clearance as an admitted candidate, adhere to the following conditions:

1. Your admission must be approved on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) of JAMB.
2. You must have accepted the offer of admission approved by JAMB.

Carefully read the guidelines outlined below before commencing the process:

GUIDELINES FOR REGISTRATION

STEP 1: ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER

1. Visit the University website (www.fulokoja.edu.ng) and click on Admissions – Undergraduate – Post-UTME Portal, and log in with your JAMB Registration Number to confirm your admission status.

2. Upon successful confirmation, click on “Pay Now” to process the payment for the acceptance charge of N20,000.00 using REMITA services (card or bank payment).

3. Confirm your payment on the University website.

4. Print your Admission Letter and Letter of Undertaking.

STEP 2: O’LEVEL RESULT VERIFICATION

1. If you have not uploaded a fresh O’level Examination (NECO/NABTEB) Scratch Card, proceed to upload it for verification.  You are allowed to use the scratch card for verification only once. Note that failure to upload the correct O’level examination details and a valid and usable examination scratch card will lead to automatic disqualification of admission.

For candidates submitting WAEC result(s) for verification, follow these steps.

* Go to www.waec.org and create a candidate account.
* Select the ‘Certificate Access (candidates)’ category.
* Fill out the form and complete the sign-up process.
* Log in with your details.
* Provide the necessary information.
* Access your certificate.
* Click the ‘share’ button.
* Choose the certificate you want to share.
* Enter the email address provided in your Post-UTME portal/WAEC Digital Certificate Platform.
* Click ‘proceed’ to complete the sharing process.

Please note that WAEC charges N7,500.00 for its certificate, payable to WAEC, not FUL.

2. Visit your Post-UTME Portal for confirmation to proceed with your registration. Once successful, proceed to step 3.

STEP 3: PAYMENT OF SCHOOL CHARGES

i. Visit the University website (www.fulokoja.edu.ng) and click on Student – Undergraduate – Student Portal, and login with your JAMB Registration Number.

ii. Click on Pay Now, to process the payment for School Charges using REMITA services (card or bank payment).

iii. Return to the University website and click on Student – Undergraduate – Student Portal to confirm your payment.

iv. After confirmation of payment, print out your School Charges receipt.

v. Proceed to printout the completed online STUDENT BIO-DATA FORM (Form 01).

NOTE: You are advised to keep all printed documents as you will be required to submit them when you resume.

STEP 4:    PHYSICAL REGISTRATION (TO BE CARRIED OUT ON RESUMPTION – January 8, 2024)

i. MEDICAL CERTIFICATE OF FITNESS
Visit the University Health Services Centre to conduct your medical fitness test.

ii. COURSE REGISTRATION
Visit the University website and click on Student – Undergraduate – Student Portal – Course Registration, to complete your Course Registration online.

To check the status of your course registration, click on Student Portal – Printout – Course Form.

STEP 5:    CLEARANCE

The University runs 2 (two) campuses, the College of Health Sciences (COHS) Campus, Adankolo and the Felele Campus (Permanent Site) where the Faculties Arts, Education, Engineering, Management, Science and Social Sciences are situated.

i. Visit your Department and submit three (3) copies each of the documents listed below to your Departmental Administrative Officer:

1. Acceptance Fee E-Payment Receipt

2. A copy of the Online School Charges Receipt

3. Federal University Lokoja Admission Letter

4. Form 01 (STUDENT BIO-DATA FORM) online printout

5. JAMB Result Slip (online print out) – for UTME Candidates

6. JAMB Admission Letter (Duplicate for Institution use only)

7. Record from previous Institution (Statement of Result/Certificate) – for DE Candidates

8. O’level Result(s) (Online Print-out)

9. Signed Letter of Undertaking (original copy)

10. Certificate of Local Government of Origin (If Non-Nigerian, Residence Permit)

11. Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age

12. Medical Certificate of Fitness from the University Health Services Centre only

13. Completed Course Registration Forms printed from the University portal 

14. Ten (10) recent Passport Photograph with red background

Failure to present the above documents will lead to automatic withdrawal of offer of admission. 

ii. Submit a copy of your STUDENT BIO-DATA FORM (Form 01) and the online School Charges Receipt to each of the Units listed below:

a. Students Affairs Division

b. University Library

c. Sports Unit

d. University Health Services Centre

e. University Counseling Centre

f. Security Unit

CAUTION:
• ENSURE YOU DILLIGENTLY MONITOR THE PAYMENT OF ANY CHARGES (ACCEPTANCE FEE, SCHOOL CHARGES) TO ITS SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION, AS THERE MIGHT BE FRAUDSTERS WHO WILL COLLECT MONEY FROM YOU AND PRESENT YOU WITH A FAKE PAYMENT RECEIPT.
Note: A copy of your payment receipt will be sent from REMITA to your registered email address on the portal as a means of confirming the successful completion of the payment process

• BEWARE OF IMPOSTORS WHO INTERACT OR SEND YOU SMS WITH PROMISE(S) OF ASSISTANCE IN THE AREA OF ADMISSIONS, REGISTRATION, RESULT PROCESSING, ACCOMMODATION, ETC. FEDERAL UNIVERSITY LOKOJA MAINTAINS THE BEST ETHICAL PRACTICES IN HANDLING STUDENTS’ MATTERS.

• BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS LURKING AROUND CAFES OR ON & OFF CAMPUS IN THE HANDLING OF YOUR ATM CARD AND BANK DETAILS.

• REPORT ANY FRAUDULENT ACT OR SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES TO THE SECURITY UNIT, FEDERAL UNIVERSITY LOKOJA
