EMAIL ADDRESS NOW COMPULSORY FOR REGISTRATION, SAYS JAMB

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has made it compulsory for all 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination candidates the use of email addresses.

The use of email addresses for the examination will commence as from Tuesday, 31st of January, 2023 for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.

A statement made available by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Head of Public Affairs and Protocol on Monday, 30th of January, 2023.

The Head of Public Affairs and Protocol reveal that, henceforth no candidates will be registered without the use of email address.

The board urge all candidates who are yet to process or start their 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Board Registration, so therefore go and create a new email address or make use of the already existing one of active.

This will ensure that the process of capturing all necessary data partaining to the candidates was more easy. Although 2023 UTME registration is ongoing already, but this is to ensure proper documentation of candidates data.

Note the board would not retrieve any lost email passwords or change of email address fit candidates who has once registered.

This new development will also enhance quick dissemination of urgent information and communication to candidates. We advise candidates to use password that they could remember.

Part of the statement read, Email provide more flexible in communication and is a more professional way of reaching out to candidates when need call for.

Candidates are therefore advised to get an active email addresses before proceeding with UTME registration.

And also link their respective NIN with their phone number, by using this format: Type NIN and leave a space in between then follow by the 11 NiN digits, e.g (NIN 1234567890) then send to 55019.

Note, before sending your NIN make sure you recharge your line as the exam board will deduct #50 charges from your sim.

Candidates are urged and advise to keep their email address password secure as the board does not retrieve lost email password or change email address after register, it is in this note we advised all candidates that are yet to register to please make sure the email they want to make use of is active and the passwords are kept securely.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME registration has comemnced on Saturday, 14th of January, 2023 and will end Tuesday, 14th of February, 2023.

As of today, 30th of January, 2023 the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has registered 445,081 candidates so far and the board is targeting 1.8 million candidates.

The Jamb Registrar, Prof. Oloyede disclose this while monitoring the registration exercise in Ilorin, Kwara State on Monday, said our Target is 1.8 million candidates and there will not be extension of registration date.
