About Tony Nwoye

Published

on

Dr Tony Nwoye, the Labour Party’s Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, has provided support to over 14,000 individuals in his constituency with assistance valued at millions of naira.

Among the items distributed to the beneficiaries were engine boats, sewing machines, engineering kits, grinding machines, bags of fertilisers, bags of rice, generating sets, and cash ranging from N10,000 to N50,000.

During the announcement of the distribution modalities, Nwoye stressed that the aim was not for political campaigning but rather a gesture of giving back to society. He also mentioned that people outside the district would also benefit.

He emphasized that this gesture was part of his commitment to empowering his people and reducing crime and unemployment in the senatorial district and beyond, stating, “The essence of this is not for politics. I am always disturbed each time I see people, especially youths, roam the streets because they have no jobs. This is a way of empowering them to take them off the streets.”

He added, “The essence of this is not for politics. I am always disturbed each time I see people, especially youths, roam the streets because they have no jobs. This is a way of empowering them to take them off the streets.”

Moreover, he expressed gratitude to Prince Arthur Eze and Peter Obi for their significant impact on his life.

He urged the beneficiaries, particularly the youth, to make optimal use of the tools provided and pledged to continue such initiatives quarterly to enhance society.

Furthermore, he extended condolences to the bereaved families of those who perished in the boat accident that occurred in Mmiata Anam, Anambra West LGA, attributing the disaster to the lack of a proper transportation system. He committed to providing speed boats for the riverine people in his constituency.
