2022 GCE: NECO RELEASES RESULTS STATISTICS

National Examination Council, [NECO] November/December General Certificate Examination (GCE) Results Statistics for 2021/2022 Academic Session | 57.36% Scored Five Credits (C’s) and Above In English and Mathematics.

Following the announcement of the released results for the 2022 NECO Nov/Dec External Examination, the National Examination Council (NECO), has released the results statistics.

 

According to the NECO Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, in a statement on Thursday, said the council has released the 2022 November/December Senior School Certificate Examination ,SSCE just after fifty-seven (57) days after the last paper was written with a 62.59% of the candidates scoring at least five credits and above in both English Language and Mathematics.

 

According to the NECO boss, “the Number of candidates that registered for the examination was 60,133 with 31,392 (53.04%) male and 28,241 (46.96%) female.

(ii) The number of candidates that sat is 59,124 with 31,316 (52.96%) male and 27,808 (47.03%) female.

 

(iii)The number of candidates that sat for English Language is 58,012 out of which 44,162, representing 76.13% got Credit and above.

 

(iv)The number of candidates that sat for Mathematics is 57,700 out of which 43,096, representing 74.69% got Credit and above.

 

(v)The number of Candidates who got five (5) Credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics is 33,914 representing 57.36%.

 

(vi) Also 46,825 candidates, representing 79.20% got five (5) Credits and above irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.

(vii) The number of candidates booked for various forms of malpractice is 11,419, as against 4,454 in 2021, which shows a sharp rise in the number of malpractice cases.

 

This is largely due to the improvement in the strategy and technique adopted by the monitoring officers.

 

This led to the blacklisting of four (4) supervisors, one (1) each from Rivers and Plateau States and two (2) from Ogun State for aiding and abetting as well as poor supervision. These results and others can be found in the Appendices attached
