Odunlade Adekola Provides Update on Azeez Ijaduade, Celebrates Colleagues’ Rejoice
Odunlade Adekola, the renowned Nollywood actor and box office king, has given an update on his colleague Azeez Ijaduade, who was shot by Nigerian police. According to reports, Ijaduade, a Yoruba movie director, is currently receiving treatment at Babcock University Teaching Hospital after being shot by a Nigerian police officer.
His fellow colleagues took to social media to raise awareness about his condition, with Afeez Owo seeking assistance from well-meaning Nigerians and disclosing the director’s location. Although the specific nature of the required help was not specified, Afeez appealed to Nigerians to come to his aid due to the director’s critical condition.
Furthermore, Kolawole Ajeyemi shared a video on his Instagram page, showcasing the actor on a hospital bed and requested prayers and healing for him.
Odunlade Adekola has now provided an update on Ijaduade’s condition on his Instagram page, expressing gratitude to God for sparing his colleague’s life and leg. He informed his followers that the director is alive and responding well to treatment, sharing a video of Ijaduade and Biodun Adebanjo at the hospital, stating, “Glory be to God @kingzeez1 is alive”.
Following Odunlade’s update, numerous Yoruba stars flooded the comment section with acknowledging God’s grace.
Omowunmi Ajiboye expressed, “Thank you Jesus. Sorry my darling, may Almighty God continue to be with you”
Faithia Williams wrote, “Amen oo”
Kiki Bakare wrote, “Merciful God”

Several others, including Wumi Toriola, Bukola Adeeyo, and Kunle Afod, also expressed gratitude and relief over Ijaduade’s improved condition.
It is noteworthy that last year, Akeem Adeyemi faced severe assault by Area Boys on a movie set. His colleague, Wumi Toriola, raised alarm on her Instagram page, sharing a distressing video of the actor with bloody eyes and denouncing the mistreatment of actors. She shared details of the incident, disclosing that the area boys had disrupted the peaceful filming, turning it into a chaotic and violent situation. Additionally, the married woman who owned the property where Akeem Adeyemi was filming and caused the commotion was later arrested.

The murder of the renowned South African rapper, Kiernan Forbes, popularly known as AKA, has led to the arrest of six suspects.
According to reports from NewsNow, AKA and his close friend were fatally shot outside a restaurant in the coastal city of Durban in February 2023.
Tragically, AKA and his companion, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motshoane, fell victim to armed assailants as they were heading towards their vehicle.
During a recent press briefing, the KwaZulu-Natal provincial police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, disclosed that the apprehended suspects are set to appear in court on Thursday.
In a widely circulated online video, Lieutenant-General Mkhwanazi provided insights into the arrests and the roles each suspect played in the rapper’s untimely death.
He emphasized, “It became evident that AKA was under surveillance from the airport and Tibz was not the primary target in the fatal shooting on Florida Road in Durban.
“We are aware that they were financially motivated for this act,” he added.

Logos Olori, a signee of DMW, asserted that he penned the lyrics to the Grammy-nominated track ‘Unavailable’ by his record label chief Davido, which features Musa Keys.
He expressed that he was the mastermind behind the track, with his colleague Peruzzi contributing to the verse.
In a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos, the singer revealed this information.
According to Logos Olori: “We created ‘Unavailable’ which got a Grammy nod. The collaborative effort happened in Ajah involving myself, Magicsticks, and Ragee. It was even Rihanna’s favorite song in 2023.”
He further elaborated: “I crafted the song, while Peruzzi was responsible for the verse. Following the initial creation, Davido requested a change in the verse, prompting Peruzzi to step in. However, the core idea of the song was mine. We made some adjustments; that’s when Musa Keys and Peruzzi got involved.”
