FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, ILARO ANNOUNCE SALES OF ADMISSION INTO NEWLY ACCREDITED ND & HND PROGRAMMES

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State for National Diploma (ND) Full-Time and Higher National Diploma (HND) in the newly Accredited Programmes in the following Schools:

PART A
POST UTME SCREENING AND VALIDATION OF CREDENTIALS EXERCISE FOR THE NEWLY ACCREDITED PROGRAMMES


1.0 NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) FULL-TIME PROGRAMMES
Application for Screening and Validation of Credentials is hereby requested from interested Candidates who wrote the 2023/2024 UTME and made The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro their 1st Choice or are willing to change to Ilaro as their 1st Choice Institution.
 

1.1 SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY:
Departments: Animal Health and Production Technology and Horticultural Technology.
 

1.2 SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
Department: Multimedia Technology.

1.3 SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING:
Departments: Autobody Engineering Technology, Cement Engineering Technology, Metallurgical Engineering Technology and Renewable Engineering Technology
 

1.4 SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES:
Departments: Printing Technology.
 

1.5 SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES:
Departments: Marine Transport and Business Management, Crime Management and Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
 

1.6 DURATION OF ALL PROGRAMMES: 4 Semesters (Full-Time) 2 Academic Sessions
 

2.1 ELIGIBILITY
(i) Candidates who chose The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro as their 1st choice and whose score is not below 150 in the 2023 UTME should do a Change of Course to any of the course of choice above on the JAMB Portal.
(ii) Candidates who did not choose The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro but are ready and able to effect a change of Institution to make The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro their First Choice Institution.
(iii) Candidates who has done the change on JAMB Portal can go and complete the Screening Form Online following the procedure in (1.4) below:
 

2.2 METHOD OF APPLICATION
Candidates seeking admission into The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro are required to complete the Institution’s Form available online at: www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng with effect from Monday 2nd January, 2024
 

2.3 PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING THE ONLINE SCREENING FORM
Candidates seeking admission for ND (Full-Time) are expected to generate a Screening Form Invoice by filling in their details online on the Institution’s Website: www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng Each candidate is expected to pay a sum of Two Thousand Naira only (N2, 000.00) as a Processing Fee.
 

2.4 Instructions to Candidates
1. Log on to www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng
2. Click on “Portal ” on the main menu
3. Scroll down to “New Application”

4. Click on the “Generate Invoice” button
5. To generate your invoice fill in your Name and other details (as you have them on your Credentials) and select your programme of study.
6. Proceed to the Bank with the Invoice generated. Pay at the Bank and obtain RRR NUMBER
7. Return to the Portal, repeat steps 1-3 above and click on the “Fill Application Form” button
8. Enter the RRR NUMBER obtained from the Bank
9. Complete the Application Form.
10. Scan and Upload the following :
(i) UTME Notification of Result Slip
(ii) O’Level Result(s) for Candidates who are not Awaiting their Result(s).
(iii) All Awaiting Result candidates should indicate their year of Examination and Registration Number and put (AR) in the columns provided for this purpose. They should however upload their results when available.
11. Confirm and submit. Print a copy of the Acknowledgement Slip

PART B
3.0 HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) FULL-TIME PROGRAMMES (NEWLY ACCREDITED PROGRAMMES)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State for Full-Time Programmes leading to the award of Higher National Diploma (HND) Qualification for Programmes in the following Schools:
 

3.1 SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
Department: Office Technology and Management (Bilingual Option) and Music Technology.
 

3.2 SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING:
Departments: Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology with options in (i) Post Harvest Option, (ii) Soil and Water Options. Mechatronics Engineering with options in (i) Automotive Mechatronics Engineering Technology Option, (ii) Industrial Mechatronics Engineering Technology Option and Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology.
 

3.3 SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES:
Departments: Transport Planning and Management Technology.
 

3.4 DURATION OF ALL PROGRAMMES: 4 Semesters (Full-Time) 2 Academic Sessions
Applicants seeking HND Admission must possess:
 

4.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
(i) National Diploma not below Lower Credit (with CGPA not less than 2.50) and Basic Requirements for the National Diploma Programme in the applicant’s discipline;
(ii) Possession of the specific SSSCE requirements i.e. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O’Level for the programme for which the candidate is applying.
(iii) Good performance in the Screening exercise to be conducted by the Polytechnic.
(iv) Minimum of One Calendar Year Post National Diploma relevant Industrial Experience.
(v) Candidate’s National Diploma academic transcript should be sent by the ND awarding Institution for Candidates who did not finish from The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro under Confidential Cover to: The Registrar, The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro. ADMITTED CANDIDATES SHALL NOT BE REGISTERED BEFORE THE RECEIPT OF ND ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT
 

PART C
5.0 METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

Candidates seeking admission into The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro are required to complete the Institution’s Application Form available online at: http://federalpolyilaro.edu.ng/ with effect from Thursday, 28th December, 2023. The closing date for the completion of the Application Form is Monday, 15th January, 2024 All candidates are expected to consult the Institution’s Prospectus on the Website or in hard copy to ascertain their qualifications for the Programmes for which they are applying. Candidates should not register for Programmes for which they do not have the requirements. The admission to The Federal Polytechnic Ilaro is provisional; ANYTIME it is discovered that a candidate registered for a Programme for which he/she is not qualified or a candidate is in violation of any of the procedures and rules thereof, the admission would be withdrawn.

PROCEDURES TO OBTAIN FORM

• To obtain the admission form, visit the Institution’s Website http://federalpolyilaro.edu.ng/ and click on the Portal
* On the Portal, click on Applicant, and then click on Generate Invoice.
* Take the invoice to any of the designated Banks for payment
* Return to the Portal, Click on Applicant, then Click fill Application Form and fill the Form following On-screen Instructions.
• The Invoice and RRR must be obtained in the name of the Applicant; the Invoice must be generated from the Portal. The Invoice contains the RRR to be processed. The Institution shall not be liable for complications that may arise when RRR is generated and payment is processed without going through the Institutional Portal.
