Clifford University (CLU) post UTME screening exercise application form for the 2023/2024 academic session is now on sale. Application is hereby invited into various degree programmes of Clifford University Owerrinta, Abia State for 2023/2024 Academic Session.


Admission Requirements

FACULTY OF HUMANITIES [B.A. (Hons.)]

CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS STUDIES Two ‘A’ level passes in Christian Religious Studies/Religious Studies and any other Arts subject. Five credit passes in English Language, CRK and three other relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Christian Religious Knowledge and any other two related Arts subjects Candidates require at least a Credit in Mathematics

i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Literature in English and one other Arts subject. Five credit passes in Literature in English and English Language, one other Arts subject and any other two or three subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Candidates require at least a Credit in Mathematics

ENGLISH LITERATURE i) Two ‘A’ level passes in Literature in English and one other Arts subject. Five credit passes in Literature in English, English Language and other three subjects, two of which must be Arts subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Literature in English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject. Candidates require at least a Credit in Mathematics

HISTORY AND DIPLOMATIC STUDIES Five credit passes in English Language, Geography, Government/History and any two Arts or Social Science subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations English Language, History or Government and any other two subjects from Arts & Social Science. Candidates require at least a Credit in Mathematics

FACULTY OF SOCIAL AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES [B.Sc. (Hons.)]

ACCOUNTING Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English language, Mathematics, Economics plus any related Arts or Social Science subject.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION iii) HND with at least Lower Credit in Business Administration or relevant disciplines in addition to the UTME Requirement Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government, Geography and Statistics. Five credit passes in English Language, Economics, Government, and a trade subject at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Government, Economics and any other subject Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

ECONOMICS iii) HND with at least Lower Credit in Economics or relevant disciplines in addition to the UTME Requirement. Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two relevant subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations

BANKING AND FINANCE Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics Five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Economics, one Science Subject plus any one from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Mathematics, Economics and one other subject Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

MARKETING Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Government, Geography or Statistics Five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Economics, one Science Subject plus any one from Accounting, Business Methods, Commerce, Government, Geography and Statistics at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. POLITICAL SCIENCE Two ‘A’ level passes including Government or History. Five creditpasses in Government or History, English Language and three other subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations and at least a pass in Mathematics. English Language, Government or History plus two other related Social Science/Arts subjects.

MASS COMMUNICATION Two ‘A’ level passes in Literature in English and one other arts subjects Five credit passes in English Language, one Science Subject, Mathematics and Literature in English at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Literature in English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject. Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS Two ‘A’ level passes in Government and History Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, one Science Subject, Government or History and two other subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Government or History plus two other Social Science/Arts subjects. Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

FACULTY OF SCIENCE [B.Sc. (Hons.)]

BIOLOGY Five credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other related Science subject at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations Direct Entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

MICROBIOLOGY Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Direct Entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements.

CHEMISTRY Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Chemistry and any two of Physics, Biology and Mathematics Direct Entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

BIOCHEMISTRY Five credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Biology, Chemistry and either Physics or Mathematics Direct Entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements.

INDUSTRIAL CHEMISTRY Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Chemistry and two of Physics, Biology and Mathematics Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

MATHEMATICS Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and at least three of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Further Mathematics at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics Five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Physics and any other two relevant science subjects at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

PHYSICS Five credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other Science subject (Further mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science) at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Direct Entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

NURSING SCIENCE (B.NSc.) Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics, Chemistry or Biology Five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations. Physic, Chemistry and Biology Direct entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements

Click on “Create New Account”

Enter your JAMB Registration Number and other details

Choose your Username and Password

Proceed with the completion of the form

Correctly enter your JAMB Score, Personal details and O’Level results

Select your first and second choice of course within the institution

Select the declaration box appropriately

Submit your application

Print out your acknowledgement slip

Await further communication from the University

Kindly ensure that your academic transcript reaches the Registrar, Clifford University, Owerrinta on time.

Any candidate who fails to submit his/her academic transcript would not be considered for admission.

DURATION OF THE APTITUDE TEST

The specific time and date for the individual candidate would be communicated in due course

Any candidate who fails to successfully submit his application online would automatically lose his/her chance of being considered for admission.
