AUGUSTINE UNIVERSITY RELEASES 2023/2024 POST UTME ADMISSION FORM

Augustine University Post-UTME/DE registration for 2023/2024 session has been announced. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified UTME and Direct Entry candidates for admission into its DEGREE PROGRAMMES for the 2023/2024academic session.

 

 

 

 

ELIGIBILITY

Augustine University Post-UTME/DE 2023: Eligibility and Registration Details

Prospective candidates seeking admission into Augustine University must not be less than 16 years of age by October of the Admission year.

Applicants must have completed their secondary school education and possess a minimum of five O’Level Credit passes at one or two sittings in West African SSCE/GCE/NECO or its acceptable equivalents which must include credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and at least three other subjects relevant to the proposed course of studies.

 

 

 

 

Applicants who are awaiting results for SSCE/GCE can also apply.

Applicants must have chosen AUI as FIRST CHOICE in the UTME Examinations of the admission year.

Applicants who did not choose AUI as first choice in the UTME Examinations of the admission year MAY also APPLY with the understanding that he/she will have to process the change of institution on the JAMB portal on getting provisional admission in AUI.

Direct entry candidates can also Apply.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Prospective candidates seeking admission into the Augustine University must not be less than 16 years of age by October of Admission year. Admission is open to all, irrespective of gender, race, or religion. Prospective candidates would need to satisfy the following general requirements before they are offered admission into the University:

a. All admissions into the University shall be through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation’s Board (JAMB)

b. For admission into 100 level (UTME), candidates must Obtain a minimum of five (5) Ordinary level credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in relevant subjects including English and Mathematics (applicable in specified programmes)at not more than 2 sittings; Candidates must also pass the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as specified by JAMB in relevant subjects and satisfy the University requirements in a Post-UTME screening exercise for the Course of study.

c. For admission to 200 level (Direct Entry), candidates should (in addition to five (5) Ordinary level credit passes stated above, obtain at least two (2) A’ level (or its equivalent) full passes in relevant subjects, or possess NCE, or a good first degree in another field as the case may be.

d. All candidates seeking admission into the University must meet the SSCE/NECO or its equivalent basic requirements.

1. ENGLISH Two A’ level passes including Literature in English.

NCE or HND with credit passes in addition to 5 Credits in SSCE (or its equivalent) may be considered. 5 O’Level credits at SSCE(or its equivalent) in English Language, Literature-in-English and three other Arts or Social Science subjects English Language, Literature-in-English and three other Arts or Social Science subjects.

A Pass in Mathematics is acceptable.

2 RELIGIOUS STUDY Two A’ level passes in any relevant subjects.

NCE & Diploma with credit passes in relevant subjects in addition to 5 Credits in SSCE (or its equivalent) 5 O’Level credits in SSCE(or its equivalent) in English Language , CRK/IRK, Literature in English and any other Arts subject.

A Pass in Mathematics is acceptable. English Language, CRK/IRK and any other Arts subject.

3 PHILOSOPHY Two A’level passes in any relevant subjects.

NCE & Diploma with credit passes in relevant subjects in addition to 5 Credits in SSCE (or its equivalent) 5 O’Level credits in SSCE(or its equivalent) in English Language and four other relevant subjects.

A Pass in Mathematics is acceptable. English Language and any other three Arts subjects.

4 ECONOMICS Two A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agric Science, Accounting, Bus. Management, History and Government. 5 O’Level credits in SSCE(or its equivalent) in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and two other arts or social science subjects. English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any of Government, Commerce, Financial Accounting, History, Literature-in-English, French and CRS/IRS.

5 ACCOUNTING Two A’ level passes including Economics 5 O’Level credits in SSCE(or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics, Economics English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject

6 BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION Two A’level passes including Economics 5 O’Level credits in SSCE(or its equivalent) including English, Mathematics,

Economics English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other Social Science subject

7 BANKING AND FINANCE Two A’

level passes in Accounting or Economics and one other subject. OR NCE with passes at merit level in relevant subject. OR Foundation International exam such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA, GPFA 5 O’Level credits in SSCE(or its equivalent) including English Language, Mathematics, Economics English Language, Mathematics ,one Social Science subject and any other subject.

 

 

 

 

FACULTY OF SCIENCE

1. MATHEMATICS Two A ‘level passes in Mathematics and Physics and/or Chemistry.

NCE with credit passes in Mathematics and Physics plus 5 credits at SSCE (or equivalent) Five credit passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) including English Language, Physics and Mathematics and any other two subjects from Further Mathematics, Physics Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science

For a degree in statistics, any science subject is acceptable in place of Physics English Language, Mathematics and Physics, and one of Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Economics in the order of preference.

2. ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGY At least 2 A’ level passes in Biology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry or Physics.

Credit passes in NCE and OND in addition to 5 credits at SSCE (or its equivalent). Five credit passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. English Language, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science Subject.

3. MICROBIOLOGY At least 2 A’ level passes in Biology, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry or Physics.

Credit passes in NCE and OND in addition to 5 credits at SSCE (or its equivalent). Five credit passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics English Language, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science Subject.

4. PHYSICS Two A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics Five O’ level credit passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) to include English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. English Language, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology.

5. COMPUTER SCIENCE Two A’ level passes in science subjects including Mathematics. OR NCE with at least merit in Mathematics and one other Science or Social Science subject. Five O’ level credit passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two other Science Subjects. English Language, Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics and Geography.

6 CHEMISTRY Two A’ level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology in that order.

or Credit passes in HND in addition to 5 Credits in SSCE (or its equivalent) Five Credits in SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & Biology English Language, Chemistry and any two of Physics, Mathematics & Biology

7 BIOCHEMISTRY Two A’level passes in Chemistry and any one of Mathematics, Biology or Physics

Credit passes in HND in relevant field in addition to five (5) credit passes in SSCE (or its equivalent) Five Credits in SSCE (or its equivalent) in English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & Biology English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics
