Nollywood director, Azeez Ijaduade, has been shot by Nigerian police, prompting a desperate plea for assistance from actors Afeez Owo and Kolawole Ajeyemi.
Afeez Owo used his Instagram platform to raise awareness about the dire situation, urging well-meaning Nigerians near the Iperu axis to come to the aid of the critically injured director who is currently at Babcock University Teaching Hospital.
While not specifying the nature of the required help, Afeez appealed for immediate assistance, emphasizing the dire condition of the director.
Kolawole Ajeyemi also joined the call for support, sharing a clip of the director in a hospital bed and requesting prayers for his recovery.
Comments poured in, expressing shock and concern over the incident.
Last year, actor Akeem Adeyemi was severely assaulted by Area Boys on a movie set, as highlighted by his colleague Wumi Toriola. She exposed the mistreatment he suffered and the disturbance caused by area boys during a peaceful film shoot.
Taiwo Hassan, a veteran actor, also faced a distressing encounter with touts in his hometown of Ilaro, where he was subjected to self-appraisals and a damaging altercation.

The murder of the renowned South African rapper, Kiernan Forbes, popularly known as AKA, has led to the arrest of six suspects.
According to reports from NewsNow, AKA and his close friend were fatally shot outside a restaurant in the coastal city of Durban in February 2023.
Tragically, AKA and his companion, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motshoane, fell victim to armed assailants as they were heading towards their vehicle.
During a recent press briefing, the KwaZulu-Natal provincial police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, disclosed that the apprehended suspects are set to appear in court on Thursday.
In a widely circulated online video, Lieutenant-General Mkhwanazi provided insights into the arrests and the roles each suspect played in the rapper’s untimely death.
He emphasized, “It became evident that AKA was under surveillance from the airport and Tibz was not the primary target in the fatal shooting on Florida Road in Durban.
“We are aware that they were financially motivated for this act,” he added.

Logos Olori, a signee of DMW, asserted that he penned the lyrics to the Grammy-nominated track ‘Unavailable’ by his record label chief Davido, which features Musa Keys.
He expressed that he was the mastermind behind the track, with his colleague Peruzzi contributing to the verse.
In a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos, the singer revealed this information.
According to Logos Olori: “We created ‘Unavailable’ which got a Grammy nod. The collaborative effort happened in Ajah involving myself, Magicsticks, and Ragee. It was even Rihanna’s favorite song in 2023.”
He further elaborated: “I crafted the song, while Peruzzi was responsible for the verse. Following the initial creation, Davido requested a change in the verse, prompting Peruzzi to step in. However, the core idea of the song was mine. We made some adjustments; that’s when Musa Keys and Peruzzi got involved.”
