Married man collapsed in court after he was unable to pay sex worker

Married man collapsed in court over his inability to pay after lodging in a hotel with a sex worker
There was mild drama at the Ejigbo Magistrates Court in Lagos State after a married man, Talabi Oluwaseyi Samuel, collapsed as he was arraigned over his inability to pay N70,000 debt.
The 42-year-old incurred the debt after he lodged a commercial sex worker in an hotel for three days, P.M.EXPRESS reports.
According to the report, Samuel was heard saying that the hotel management has exposed his adulterous life as his wife would know he had been cheating on her over the years.
He was said to have taken a lady, Becky Alaneme, to Mayoral Hotel located at Unity Estate in Idimu, lodged with her for days without paying both her service charge and the hotel bills.
He was arrested after he tried to escape and subsequently detained over his inability to settle the bills, which amounts to over N70,000.
After the police fruitlessly tried to get him to settle the bills, he was taken to the Court to be arraigned for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace.
However, drama ensued when the bus, which brought him to the Court was about the drop him, he shouted and slumped inside the Courtroom.
He was on the floor of the Court room for several minutes when the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. K.A. Ariyo, came to sit and ordered his remand in Police custody pending when he will be ready to be arraigned for the alleged offence.
Police sources disclosed that even at that point, Samuel had refused to contact members of his family especially his wife, who he claimed trusted him so much and declined informing her because of the disgrace.

Nigerians fume as young boy who was promised heaven and earth during presidential election is neglected

In what appears to be a disheartening turn of events, Nigerians are expressing their disappointment as the young election hero, whose viral video of chasing Peter Obi’s convoy captivated the nation, has allegedly been left empty-handed despite grand promises made during the presidential election campaign.
The incident has reignited debates over the credibility of campaign pledges and the treatment of citizens who actively participate in political processes.
During the presidential elections campaign, the young boy was promised a myriad of rewards ranging from scholarships abroad to substantial financial compensation.
These assurances were intended to recognize and appreciate his bold act of running after the convoy of Peter Obi, the former vice-presidential candidate, in a fervent display of support.
However, five months have elapsed since the general elections took place, and the promised rewards have failed to materialize, leaving the young election hero disillusioned and causing Nigerians to voice their grievances.
Social media platforms have been inundated with expressions of frustration, highlighting the broken trust between politicians and the electorate.
