A Cameroonian human rights activist, Mr. Tambe Tiku, helped recover 370,000 CFA francs that were forcefully taken from a young Cameroonian in Douala by a Gendarme officer.

This has become a common occurrence in towns across Cameroon, especially in the English-speaking regions, where citizens are unlawfully asked to unlock their phones and money is withdrawn from them.

The latest incident happened in Douala, where a Gendarme officer forcefully asked the victim to open his phone. After discovering the amount he had in his Mobile Money account, the officer forced him to transfer 370,000 CFA francs to the officer’s account. The victim called 1523, a number belonging to human rights activist Mr. Tambe Tiku, and reported the incident. Mr. Tambe immediately left Buea for Douala, called in the Gendarme officer for questioning, and recovered the victim’s money, returning it to him.

Logos Olori, a signee of DMW, asserted that he penned the lyrics to the Grammy-nominated track ‘Unavailable’ by his record label chief Davido, which features Musa Keys.

He expressed that he was the mastermind behind the track, with his colleague Peruzzi contributing to the verse.

In a recent interview with Cool FM in Lagos, the singer revealed this information.

According to Logos Olori: “We created ‘Unavailable’ which got a Grammy nod. The collaborative effort happened in Ajah involving myself, Magicsticks, and Ragee. It was even Rihanna’s favorite song in 2023.”

He further elaborated: “I crafted the song, while Peruzzi was responsible for the verse. Following the initial creation, Davido requested a change in the verse, prompting Peruzzi to step in. However, the core idea of the song was mine. We made some adjustments; that’s when Musa Keys and Peruzzi got involved.”
