NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR CADET DEGREE PROGRAM

Nigeria Police Academy Invites Applications for Cadet Degree Program
The Nigeria Police Academy has announced the commencement of its 10th regular course cadet degree programme and has invited interested and qualified Nigerian candidates to apply. According to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the online registration process will be open for six weeks, from July 24 to September 3.

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and possess a National Identity Number (NIN) along with the 2023 JAMB result, scoring not less than 180. Additionally, candidates must have chosen the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, as their first choice in the JAMB form.

To be eligible, applicants should have a minimum of six credits at no more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or their equivalent, with credit passes in English and Mathematics. They must also be between 17 and 21 years of age by October 31 and must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.

Male applicants must be at least 1.67m tall, while female applicants should be at least 1.64m tall, with an expanded chest measurement of not less than 86cm (34 inches) for males only. Marital status should be single, and female applicants must not be pregnant at the time of admission. A valid email address and phone number are also required.

The application process will be virtual, and interested candidates who meet the criteria should visit the Nigeria Police Academy’s website (https://www.polac.edu.ng) to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code. This code will be used to pay a non-refundable fee of N3,500 through any commercial bank branch in Nigeria.


After successful payment, applicants will fill out an online form and upload scanned copies of their SSCE results, birth certificates, and state of origin certificates. Completed online forms and guarantor forms will need to be printed and submitted during the physical screening at the Nigeria Police Academy. The date for the automated physical screening exercise will be communicated in due course.

The selection process will include a computer-based test (CBT), an automated medical screening exercise, and an automated interview/selection exercise for the final selection of candidates. Successful candidates will undergo a five-year academic and police training, leading to the award of a Bachelor’s degree and commissioning into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendent of Police II.

The acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, has assured transparency and accountability in the application process. He also cautioned applicants to be wary of online imposters, scammers, and other criminals who may attempt to take advantage of the application process for fraudulent practices.
