Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Admission into Regular Diploma Programmes in the Institute of Education of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma for 2023/2023 Session.

 

A. PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE

 

AAU Diploma programme admission for 2022/2023 session

Diploma in Library Science

Diploma in Physical and Health Education

Diploma in Mathematics Education

Diploma in Accounting Education

Diploma in Banking Education

Diploma in Secretarial Education

Diploma in Computer Science Education

Diploma in Community Health Education.

B. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

 

1. Diploma in Library Science

 

Passes in at least four subjects not below Credit level at not more than two (2) sittings in WASSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) including English Language, or

Passes in four subjects not below Merit level in Teachers Grade II Certificate including English Language at not more than two (2) sittings.

2. Diploma in Physical and Health Education

 

Candidates possessing any of the following qualifications are eligible for consideration for admission.

 

Teachers Grade II Certificate with at least 4 passes not below Merit level including Physical Education and at least a pass in English Language,

WASSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) with four Credits and at least a pass in English language.

Associate Certificate in Education (ACE).

Candidates who have Credits/Merits in TC II or WASSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) plus Coaching Certificate may be considered.

3. Diploma in Mathematics Education

Four Ordinary Level credits in Mathematics and three others with at least a pass in English Language;

Teachers Grade II Certificate with at least Merit in Mathematics and three other subjects and at least a pass in English Language is necessary.

4. Diploma in Accounting Education

 

Four Ordinary Level credits including English Language, Mathematics and Economics or Commerce.

Four Merits in Teachers Grade II Certificate including English Language, Mathematics and Economics or Commerce.

5. Diploma in Banking Education

 

 

 

 

 

 

Four Ordinary Level credits including English Language, Mathematics and Economics or Commerce.

Four Merits in Teachers Grade II Certificate including English Language, Mathematics and Economics or Commerce.

6. Diploma in Secretarial Education

 

Four Ordinary Level credits including English Language.

Four Merits in Teachers Grade II Certificate including English Language.

7. Diploma in Computer Science Education

 

WASC/NECO/GCE ‘O’ level or SSCE with credits in Mathematics, Physics, at least a pass in English Language and any other subject from Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric, Geography, Statistics, Economics and Government at not more than two sittings.

Grade II Teachers Certificate with at least a Merit in Mathematics, Physics, at least a pass in English Language and any other subject from Further Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric., Geography, Statistics, Economics and Government at not more than two sittings.

8. Diploma in Community Health Education

 

Teachers with Grade II Teachers Certificate with credits/merits in three subjects including Health Education and a pass in English Language.

Holders of WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) with three credits and at least a pass in English Language.

Holders of Associate Certificate in Education.

Auxiliary Nurses and other Health workers who have the entry requirements.

C. GENERAL REMARKS

Candidates must possess Credit Passes in relevant subjects in WASSCE/NECO/GCE (O/L) at not more than two sittings.

 

DURATION OF COURSES

 

All Diploma Programmes at the Institute of Education are full time and are for a period of two (2) academic sessions.

Application forms for the Regular Diploma Programmes of the Institute of Education will be available online for completion and submission From Friday March 24th to Friday 28th April 2023
